After four years of experimentation when using the right hand, Casio Computer created the "Ergonomic Calculator JE-12D/DE-12D" (hereinafter referred to as the Ergonomic Calculator) was announced on October 6.

There are two calculators in the line-up for sale, the Just Type (JE-12D) is expected to be sold at a price of around 10,450 yen ($71.90), and the Desk Type (DE-12D) is expected to be sold at a price of around 11,000 yen ($75.68) from October 21.

This ergonomic calculator was launched based on the concept of the theme "Calculators adapt to the person, not the person to the calculator." Based on 4 years of analysis, Casio focused on the feature that "the hand tilts outward when operating the calculator, while the keystrokes are vertical".

Instead of the conventional flat operating surface, the surface of this calculator is tilted horizontally by 3˚, and the keys themselves are arranged in stages so that they can always be pressed in a vertical direction. Although the operating surface is tilted, it is said that the keys and keystrokes are not changed.

Prior to the release, the actual machine will be exhibited at "b8ta Tokyo – Yurakucho" in Yurakucho, Tokyo. In the exhibition space, you can experience the comfort of the "Ergonomic Calculator" before buying.
