If your current job makes you want to crawl into a cave and hibernate, a wildlife park in China might have just posted your actual escape route. The Luohe Wildlife Zoo is going viral with a recruitment flyer that throws corporate buzzwords straight into the trash. They are offering a cool 100,000 RMB (around $14,000 USD) a year for a position that requires zero experience, zero human interaction, and a lot of chaotic energy. The gig? Putting on a costume and pretending to be a black bear.
While most bosses will fire you for it, this zoo is making it the core of your daily operations. According to the flyer, the daily grind consists of exactly two things: putting on a black bear suit to wander aimlessly around the park, and boldly interacting with whatever tourists cross your path. That is the entire workload. No spreadsheets, no pointless Zoom calls, and absolutely no performance metrics.
While the workload is practically non-existent, the park is specific about the kind of unhinged energy they expect from their future apex predators. First off, breaks in character are strictly forbidden. The poster warns that speaking any human language while on duty is banned. If a tourist asks for directions, you have one job: "howl" or grunt at them until they walk away.
Secondly, you need to be a little bit weird. The zoo notes that the more "abstract" your personality is, the better. Being abstract means you love being chaotic and playing harmless pranks. If you have zero social anxiety and love acting completely unhinged in public, you’re basically employee of the month material. Even better? You must be willing to accept food offerings directly from tourists. If you aren't a picky eater, you get extra bonus points.
