According to reports, the plane was a privately owned aircraft. It was a charter flight from Johannesburg to Venetia Mine, and the collision with the "big bird" occurred during the landing.

During the incident, suddenly, a large bird flew towards the plane's propeller area, causing the plane's propeller to break off and part of the propeller crashed into the plane.

The first fragment of the propeller hit the glass of the plane until it shattered and another piece flew through the cabin wall. Luckily, no one was sitting there at the time. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. The plane was badly damaged, and luckily the captain managed to make an emergency landing.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) will continue to investigate and assess the damage.
