A Giant Takoyaki Boat Sails Down A River In Japan

Recently, Kanaiga (@shiragaigarashi) shared a photo of the takoyaki parade that took over the Ono River recently on her twitter.

In the picture, there is a large takoyaki boarding a boat and sailing slowly on the river. If you like to eat takoyaki food, you will be surprised because you don't think there will be takoyaki that big and it looks very appetizing.

The boat containing takoyaki was actually the result of Kanaiga’s own work. Kanaiga is a creator and artis who focuses on “fun, creative and delicious -looking artwork” using ingredients and dishes as motifs, and their latest work, this takoyaki boat, is inspired by the boat -like plates and trays commonly served in takoyaki.

Kanaiga said in a Tweet that the project helped them realize their vision of seeing takoyaki sail in a boat after seeing they served on a tray.

If you look in detail, you can see, the boat actually recreates the plating, the oarsmen looks like pickled ginger (a popular takoyaki decoration), even the bamboo paddle resembles a toothpick used to eat takoyaki with! Looks delicious!
