In India, there has been a recent controversy surrounding the use of asphalt carpet in road construction. Asphalt carpet is a thin layer of asphalt that is placed on top of a road surface to provide a smooth and durable finish. However, some people have raised concerns about the use of asphalt carpet, alleging that it is a substandard material that does not last as long as traditional asphalt.

The villagers in the state of Maharashtra were shocked to discover that a newly-laid road was actually just a carpet with a thin layer of asphalt poured over it. The road had been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), a government scheme that provides funding for rural road construction. The villagers were angry that they had been duped into paying for a shoddy road, and they demanded that the contractor be held accountable.

The contractor, Rana Thakur, defended his work, claiming that he had used German technology to construct the road. He said that the asphalt carpet was necessary to provide a smooth and durable surface, and that it would last for many years.

However, the villagers were not convinced, and they vowed to continue fighting for justice because there is no country that uses asphalt carpet. Asphalt carpet is a type of roofing material that is made from asphalt and fiberglass. It is not used for roads or other pavement surfaces.

This incident aroused public dissatisfaction, and related pictures were even circulated on the Internet. The public demanded that the local government must take action on this. At present, the central government has sent a team to intervene in the investigation and go to the site to evaluate the construction progress and quality of the road. A detailed report will be submitted in the near future.
