For those who don't know what a durian is, durian is called the "king of fruits," is a large, spiky, greenish-brown fruit popular in Southeast Asia and China. Now a ramen shop in Kaohsiung Taiwan has also launched a new product, namely "Durian Ramen"! Interestingly, the durian shells are used as a ramen bowl. Only 20 bowls will be sold per day. It is expected to debut  on 6/22.

A few days ago, "Shan He Tang Ramen" in Gangshan, Kaohsiung stated on Facebook that it will launch the first bowl of "Durian Ramen" in Taiwan during the Dragon Boat Festival. There are three types of "Extreme Durian Pork Bone and Preserved Egg Ramen" and "Extreme Durian Pork Bone and Preserved Egg Ramen with Char Siew Surge", priced at NT$680 ($22.20), NT$720($23.51) and NT$780 ($25.47) respectively.

"Shanhetang Ramen" stated that the "Durian Ramen" launched this time uses coconut milk porridge as the ramen soup base, and then fresh durian pulp is blends into the soup base, and water chestnuts, white radish, and apples are added , potatoes, lemongrass and other ingredients increase the layering of the soup, paired with springy Hakata thin noodles, and finally add char siu, soft-boiled eggs, dried bamboo shoots and fresh durian pulp.

The ramen is served with durian shells, and each bowl must be cut by hand. It is already difficult to cut durian into a bowl shape, and it is necessary to ensure that the bowl will not be broken. Due to difficult, so only 20 bowls are served every day, 10 bowls in the morning and 10 bowls in the evening, and reservations are made by phone until sold out.
