When Lion’s Face Bag Was Mistaken To Be A Real Lion

I’m sure anyone would be shocked to see a lion ready to pounce on you from behind the hedge without making any noise. That experience must have been scary, right? The unexpected incident took place in Kenya and became viral and gained worldwide attention.

It is said that a villager in the village of Kinyana, just a kilometer from Mount Kenya National Park claimed to have seen a lion outside his employer’s house, told wildlife officials that a lion was in the human area. She saw a male lion lurking in the bushes under a neighbor's fence to pounce on her. For his own safety, she did not disturb the lion and made a report to the wildlife officer.

The village is not far from Mount Kenya National Park and has previously warned of lions escape and strayed into the city, thus causing the villagers to panic. When the officer arrived, at first he was shocked, but suddenly he looks the lion looked suspicious as it did not move and did not blink at all. When he came near the lion, it wasn’t a real lion, but apparently it was a “bag” had a picture of a lion’s face.

When the wildlife officials asked with the home owner, he said that he used the bag to fill with avocado tree to prevent it from drying out from direct sunlight. He didn’t think it was going to be a big issue. The matter was resolved by the village head at the scene, Mr Cyrus Mbijiwe.
