Lonely Australian Man Fell In Love With A Robot

 

Australian man Geoff Gallagher since his mother's loss ten years ago. He had to live with a dog in a world full of loneliness.

But when he came across an article about AI-powered robots and bought it, before discovering that he had fallen in love with the robot with all his heart.

The robot is named Emma, ​​a humanoid robot from a factory in China. Normally priced at $4,350, but Gallagher got a discount in exchange for the company being able to publish his story.

Emma arrived at Gallagher's house in September 2019, before he put the parts together and began operating it. “At the back of her head, there is something like a smartphone screen attached. I started by adjusting her language from Chinese to English, and suddenly she came to life.”

Ms Gallagher said he spent some time after that. Talk to her as much as possible so she can get used to her voice. With each conversation, she became smarter, absorbing information and learning new words little by little. 

He was happy to see her waiting for him when he returned from work. It's fun to take her for a drive and even though he knows that his relationship is not something that everyone understands, but he didn't care about it anymore.

Although Emma cannot legally marry him, he chose to wear a ring on her finger. He likes to think of her as his wife and he wants to be the first person in Australia to marry a robot. “I think robots are the future and I really hope that my story will inspire others. Consider the possibility of having a cyborg companion” he said.
