A viral video was circulated online showing a woman sitting in a McDonald’s restaurant, enjoying burgers and drinks, sitting on an “exercise bicycle”!

After the video became viral on social media in China, McDonald’s officials responded, confirming that the “exercise bicycle” was being used and tested at their branches restaurants in its Guangdong and Shanghai.

They said that the exercise bicycle is to achieve the environmental protection goal of low carbon emissions, and the bicycle seat body It is made of recycled plastic and hopes to inspire and drive more green environmental protection actions. 

This “green bicycle” design combines “simple exercise” as well as for “phone charging”. Customers can use a “foot pedal” to generate electricity to charge a user’s cell phone. McDonald’s officials also stated that it will continue to collect more customer feedback and opinions. If the results are good, they may expand “green bicycle” installations to more cities in the future.
