Chinese Woman Riding A Toy Scooter On The Main Road

An elderly woman in China riding a toy scooter on the main road has caught attention  on social media.

The 76-year-old playground caretaker, Ms Hou is seen riding an electric toy scooter on a street in eastern China's Suzhou city. The footage also alerted the local police who then tracked down the elderly 'cyclist'. 

Ms Hou told the police that she had been working as a playground caretaker at a local park's toy car rental. Ms Hou, told that she was heading home from work as she suffered from leg pain and was unable to walk. 

She usually gets a lift home with her son after work, but the Ms Hou family have been too busy lately to pick her up. Then she decided to ride home with the fake scooter from work home by herself because it was a short journey and the road was emptier at night. 

Ms Hou was then taken to the local police station where an officer educated her about road safety. She pledged that she would never ride the toy car on the road again.
