Tokyo Olympic Athletes' Village Beds Are Made From Recycling Cardboard


Next year's Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic athletes, the athletes around the world will be sleeping on the bed made from recycling cardboard in the athletes village.


The Olympic organizers announced that the cardboard bed was ideal for reuse, Eco friendly and the bed are easy to remove and install. The cardboard bed was introduced by the tournament sponsor bedding and mattress maker Airwaves. 

Despite the ideas are greats, many Japanese Netizen made negative comments, some of them questioning whether the bed was strong enough to hold the weight from big and tall athletes. Others say Japan has spent a lot of money to provide the best sports facilities, but they are embarrassed because Japan only spends money on recycling cardboard beds for athletes around the world. They are also asked if the bed is for the homeless too?
